Yogis Give Back - great feelgood event!

Yogis Give Back yesterday at Westminster College was an amazing event for 2 reasons:  1) the money raised -- around $3,600 -- will go to title I schools (low income) to bring Yoga Breaks to many classrooms; and 2) it was an unprecedented gathering of yoga talent and energy!  I am so thrilled I got to be a part of it :)

Okay, what else is there to do but go inside and practice Yoga?!  It is just too stormy; cozy up to your mat and come to class!

I am SO ready for Spring - and it is tomorrow!  Too bad class is canceled for tomorrow night, but I think we should head to Claudette's Lunch Express Class tomorrow from 12-12:45 p.m.  Time to get the sludge moving and bounce into Spring, don't you think?!

Holiday Funk

This time of year, from about November 15-January 15, we tend to feel overwhelmed, elated and terrified at the same time, facing all of the chores and purchases and events.  Yoga is a wonderful way to "get grounded" again.  Come to a class -- I know, how do you find the time to fit it in? -- but a little planning, throw your yoga clothes in the car and you can get back to sanity if only for an hour!  Yoga really does keep us sane, reminds us not to take life so seriously and allows us to get back to what is important.  Finding our mind-body-spirit connection every time we step on the mat will bring us that much closer to a balanced life when we step off of the mat.  Namaste and Happy Holidays!

I can't wait for the Fundamentals workshops - its a great thing to have your questions answered, to be assured you are practicing effective and safe yoga, to enjoy the fellowship of other yogis in a learning environment.  Between the two saturdays, we will be getting into everything from breaking down upward facing dog to what is the meaning of the 7th Chakra to why am I breathing through my nose?!!

The activity at Crowley Gallery and Cafe AND Ogden YOGA is amazing.  We have classes going on all the time and in between so many events occurring in our space -- wine and beer pairings, art shows, artists' winter market, and on!!  If you haven't come by to check us out, please do.  Your first class is FREE at Ogden YOGA, so what have you got to lose?!

Okay, I ate lunch at the cafe today and had a Killer chicken quesadilla!  Homemade filling, grilled to perfection, yummy salsa and sour cream.  Gotta try it!

I'm so Excited!
